Dr. J. Lynn Hicks an Author and motivational speaker in a few short years has released 12 literary works, all directed to contributing and empowering the people of God. As a Motivational Speaker she furthers the call. Happily married to Mr. Earnest Lee Hicks, they have 6 wonderful grandchildren whom they absolutely adore. She is an active member at the Fountain of Praise where she loves to sing in the choir. Mrs Hicks has worked in the field of education for more than 30 years. She has served at the classroom, as well as the administrative level. Most of her experience is at the elementary level. She has a background in teacher appraisal, as well as English as a Second Language. She received her B.A. Degree from Houston Baptist University with a dual major in elementary education and Spanish. She ascertained her M.Ed. from Houston Baptist University in elementary education while simultaneously receiving her Mid-Management Certification. She completed the doctoral program at the University of Houston, receiving her Ed.D. with an emphasis in Historical, Social, and Cultural Foundations (Multicultural Education). She recently received her School Counselor Certification from Sam Houston State University (Woodlands).
